I enjoyed the experience but feel it would be improved if the visit was slightly longer. There were no issues with being picked up and driven to the Blue Lagoon but it took a time to be "processed" and to work out the system of lockers/towels/showers etc. Sadly, an hour passed too quickly and I didn't have time for the face mask & drink as I had to return to shower, change and get back to the bus for departure. I do understand that the time slots may be strictly administered by the Blue Lagoon.
No trip to Iceland would be complete without submerging yourself in the steamy volcanic waters of the Blue Lagoon. And on this half-day tour everything from transport to entry is all sorted for you, so all you'll need is your swimsuit and a couple of hours to take it easy in some of the most surreal surroundings on the island.
Arriving at the Blue Lagoon, you'll walk through reception, pick up your electronic wristband and head straight for the warming waters of the lagoon. You'll emerge into the icy air, but step into the steaming 37-degree water, and you'll soon forget all about it.
There's a spa area, massage waterfall, sauna and swim-up bar where you can grab yourself a glass of bubbly to enjoy in the milky blue water. You'll have a couple of hours to soak it all up before it's time to get changed and head back to Reykjavik.
