Explore the western lands of Reykjavik in a small group tour to the Silver Circle, admire waterfalls, lava fields, and walk through a lava cave.
Start your day with a scenic ride passing Mount Esja to Borgarnes from where you can admire views of Borgarfjordur. You will then arrive at the most powerful hot spring of Europe, Deildartunguhver. Stroll through the billowing clouds of steam and listen to the bubbling of the hot springs to feel the power of nature. Next up is the Hraunfossar (lava waterfall) waterfall series that runs through the Hallmundarhraun lava field. Take a short walk through the lava fields to reach the Barnafoss waterfall and discover the sad story behind the name 'the waterfall of children'.
Your journey continues to the Vidgelmir Lava Cave, a cave of almost 1600 meters long inside a lava flow. Admire the stalactites and stalagmites and incredible ice and lava formations as your expert guide leads you around for almost 2-hours. The breathtaking woodlands of Husafell are next. Enjoy the fairytale lands and see the various art sculptures around the land.
Finally, you will visit Reykholt Snorralaug, a historic hot spring used since the 12th century and now an archaeological site. After this visit, you will make your way back to Reykjavik.
