Båttur genom Kroatiens Neretva-delta med lunch
Om du längtar efter en bit natur och vill komma bort från trängseln i Kroatiens historiska städer, då är Neretva-deltaet precis vad du söker. Bara en och en halv timme från Split ligger denna mosaik av vattenvägar, våtmarker och laguner, där du lugnt kan ta dig fram medan du sänker tempot på semestern för dagen.På morgonen anländer du till Villa Neretva, där du går ombord på en trupica – en traditionell kroatisk flodbåt – och ger dig ut på Neretva-flodens vattenvägar. Flodens våtmarker sträcker sig över Bosnien och Hercegovina, och endast en relativt kort sträcka flyter genom Kroatien innan den mynnar ut i Adriatiska havet. I detta skyddade naturreservat glider du fram genom det klara vattnet, med goda chanser att få syn på hägrar, vithägrar och dvärgkormoraner. Här finns över 300 fågelarter bland övriga vilda djur, så håll utkik efter några mer ovanliga fynd, som färgglada kungsfiskare, svarta och gula eldsalamandrar och livfulla balkangröna ödlor.Efter sjön Kuti stannar du till för lunch på Neretva House Tavern, som endast kan nås med båt, för att njuta av en festmåltid med traditionella dalmatiska rätter. Därefter kan du koppla av medan du slingrar dig genom de gröna våtmarkerna på vägen tillbaka till land.
