Join this combo expedition that combines a jeep tour with a levada walk. This full-day excursion offers you the opportunity to experience Madeira's wilderness up close by jeep and on foot, as you venture into the Laurissilva forest in the heart of the island.
You'll travel from Funchal to Porto da Cruz, where you'll take the levada walk. This rural village, whose main activity is agriculture, is famous for its table wine, rum production, and surfing. Here, you can also find one of Madeira's oldest sugar cane refineries.
During the walk, you'll discover the endemic vegetation of Madeira. The tour continues to Pico do Arieiro, the third-highest peak on the island with an altitude of 1818m. From there, views are spectacular and, when the weather allows it, you can even see Porto Santo.
