Food and drinksWe opted for the 5km walk along a Levada. This was very easy going for us and no hills to contend with. The guide we hade was very enthusiastic and informative. We enjoyed the experience very much.
Walk along this 5 km levada, and get the opportunity to admire the scenic landscapes of Serra da Água Valley. The levadas are canals used to bring water from the North to the South of Madeira.
This trekking, that start at Campanário area, will take you to discover the variety of the local flora and fauna, and to admire some of the most famous locations on South coast of the island, such as Encumeada, Ribeira Brava and Campanario.
During the tour you will reach a maximum elevation of 570 m and a minimum one of 510 m.
