What to expect

This off‑road adventure showcases Gran Canaria's natural beauty from start to finish. You'll begin with a hotel pick‑up and head to Meloneras, where your guide gives you a friendly rundown of the day. You'll check out mountain viewpoints, scenic roads, quiet villages and an exclusive off‑road section inside a protected national park that only this tour can access. Juan, one of our local expert guides, says, “this area shows some of Gran Canaria's oldest volcanic layers. When you drive through these valleys, you're basically travelling through millions of years of the island's history.”

Once you're on the move, you'll ease into things at the Cortadores viewpoint before stopping in Soria for a quick break at Casa Fernando. Then, you'll cruise through Barranquillo Andres for wide-open views right from your seat, followed by a photo stop at the Inagua viewpoint overlooking the Mulato dam. After that, you'll drive off-road along the El Juncal Trail, a rugged protected area that's completely exclusive to this itinerary. After kicking up some dust, you'll pause at Cruz de Pajonales for another scenic snapshot.

From there, you'll head to Tunte for free time to explore or grab lunch, before wandering through the village of Fataga. To wrap things up, you'll visit an aloe vera eco‑farm for a hands‑on demo of the plant's natural benefits before heading back to your hotel.

The trip itself was ok however the vehicle used (Hyundai Santa Fe) was not suitable for 6 people. Although it is rated as a 7 seater incl driver, the middle seat is not a propper seat and very uncomfortable and offers no support. This results in sliding from side to side into the person next to you as you go around the winding bends. This is a horrible experience when you don't know the person next to you. For this reason, I would not recommend this trip.

The guide, Marco was great 😊 The villages were a little disappointing but this may have been due to adverse weather conditions. The off roading was amazing though.

Gary was very informative and a great guy, we had an awesome experience. This was a birthday treat! Gary was a great laugh all through the event. Loved the sights and also the Aloe Vera farm.

Far too long on very bumpy off road section - probably over one hour. Driver spoke no English, but was very good and as helpful as he could be. Comments over radio from guide in other vehicle very limited, maybe only 3 or 4 occasions.

68 euros pp seemed a lot compared to other cheaper experiences tui offers as nothing was included at all. Not even drinking water.

Klacht ingediend. Gevraagd Ned. of Duits. kregen Engels. Met 4 Engelsen en 1 Engelse chauffeur werden wij volkomen genegeerd. Hel liefst waren we uitgestapt . Luxe en ruim ? Wij werden als oudste achterin geplaceerd onze knieën onder onze kin. In en uitstappen zeer moeilijk wegens rugproblemen . Na de reis verslechterd.. Er werd zelfs niet geprobeerdvom halverwege te wisse deze trip was voor ons nog geen € 10 waard. Wij hopen dus ook dat wij gecompenseerd worden want dit was niet de afspraak.

Island tour of Gran Canaria

This grand tour of Gran Canaria takes in the best of the island's highlands in just one day as you visit the villages of Tejeda and Teror . There'll be plenty of photo stops along the way, too. Pepe, one of our local guides, says, "Teror is one of my favourite spots on the island, with history seeping from the walls in the old quarter. The buildings are so charming and in the main square, you'll get to see the typical Canarian balconies the town is famous for."It's a blockbuster from the go. Our first stop is at the Degollada de la Yegua viewpoint, which by day boasts views of a Wild West-like canyon and by night of the stars. Then it's on to Tunte, where you might decide to visit the Casa Los Yánez Ethnographic Museum, though it is not open every day. Next, you'll head to Tejeda, considered one of Spain's prettiest villages. All pretty whitewashed houses and palm trees nestled in the shadow of Roque Nublo and Roque Bentayga, it's Insta-perfect.There's some free time scheduled here where you can explore on your own and find a spot to buy lunch.
