What to expect

Discover Argolis, a historic region in the northeastern Peloponnese and one of the most important centres of ancient Greek civilisation. The area blends dramatic landscapes, fertile plains, seaside towns, and some of Greece’s most iconic archaeological sites.

This two‑day tour begins with an early morning departure from Athens, following the coastal highway towards the Corinth Canal for a short stop. Continue to Mycenae, the legendary kingdom of Agamemnon, and visit the archaeological site to explore highlights such as the Palace, the Lion Gate, and the royal tomb traditionally linked to the mythical king. Before lunch, there is an optional stop at a local pottery workshop. In the afternoon, travel through Argos and reach Nafplio, the first capital of modern Greece. Overlooked by the Palamidi Fortress and facing the fortified islet of Bourtzi, the town offers a scenic seaside setting. Enjoy free time in the historic centre before heading to your hotel for an overnight stay.

The following day is dedicated to discovering Nafplio at your own pace. Walk through narrow cobblestone streets, admire elegant neoclassical buildings, and take in the relaxed atmosphere created by the surrounding hills and coastline. Often considered one of Greece’s most charming towns, Nafplio combines history and local character in a compact, walkable setting. At the scheduled time, return to the pick‑up point for the journey back to Athens.
