What to expect

As rip-roaring Bulgarian nights go, few can hold a candle to an evening at Khan's Tent. You'll enjoy a classic four-course dinner and a world-class cabaret show performed by an international troupe. And the Panoramic Bar boasts fantastic views over Sunny Beach bay, too.

Known as Hanska Shatra to the locals, this venue in the hills overlooking Sunny Beach is located where the medieval Khan Krum set up camp to besiege Nessebar. And Bulgarian history and heritage are very much a part of the Khan's Tent experience.

After transfer to the venue, you'll sit down for a four-course dinner and witness amazing performances, ranging from acrobatics to choreographed dances and featuring popular live music. Impressive doesn't even begin to describe it. You'll be dropped back at your resort after the show.

Amazing entertainment. Staff all very efficient. The food was delicious. Live music was all English songs that we knew. Me and my friend will definitely be going back. Sat on a table of 6 so you get to chat with other people which is nice. Can't recommend it enough.

Fantastic experience! Children were dancing, older family members sang along popular live songs. The staff at the venue was very professional. Food great, tasteful and elegant. Live music very enjoyable all in English. Performances of high quality and by beautiful performers. Highly recommended!!! The transfer from Obzor was not great, 5 min ahead of time we started to look for the transfer outside the hotel and a very nervous driver started to shout at us in German that we are late.

Great evening entertainment! Nice basic 4 course meal but very tasty. You are seated to 6 per table which was good alas good to meet new people. There is a bar if you want to buy extra drinks. Outstanding 260 view terrace wi4h amazing views.

With a visit to ancient Byala, a riverboat trip and an afternoon of folklore and fun with the grannies of Solnik village, you'll experience a lot during your day out. Ivan, one of our expert local guides, says, ‘Solnik is a typical mountain village, but Granny Radka's house is anything but typical – it's like a mini-museum. She has displays of traditional costumes and textiles all over the walls, most of which were made by Granny Radka herself.'Kick off in the seaside town of Byala, on Cape St Atanas. Discover its rich history dating back to the Byzantine era as you walk through the area. You'll see ancient pottery making equipment, a partially restored winery and the basilica. Soaking up the expansive sea view from the top of the cliffs is all part of the Byala experience. Next, we will head to Kamchiya for a 25-minute boat trip along the river to enjoy the beauty of the Bulgarian countryside.Your final stop will be at the quaint village of Solnik, where we'll visit Granny Radka's house. You'll be invited to take a look at the display of typical clothes, try some local rose liqueur and tuck into a tasty lunch of dishes from the region, freshly prepared with locally sourced ingredients. Then you'll be immersed in Bulgarian folklore when you watch a song and dance performance by the village elders dressed in the traditional costume.
