What to expect

Catering for the whole family, this adventure on the high seas makes for the ultimate family party cruise. The three-deck Sea Star Sunny Beach Boat includes entertainment, dining areas and an impressive sun deck.

Setting out from Nessebar harbour, along the Black Sea Coast, adults can get busy doing very little on deck, while younger guests can get involved in the swashbuckling entertainment. It's provided by our irrepressible troupe in the roles of Captain Jack and his pirates.

Dropping anchor along the coast, there'll be plenty of time for a swim and fun on the waterslide after which you'll be served a delicious lunch on board.

    Travelled with a group of friends

    The experience was really good and catered for children and adults. Entertainment was thoroughly enjoyed. There was a photographer in the boat, however purchasing photos took a long time. I would suggest they had someone else supporting with printing/selecting photos. Also the hotel did not provide breakfast. I checked with them the day before and they said the Tui rep would let them have numbers. Luckily we had taken snacks for the kids as lunch wasn't served in the boat until after 12pm.

    Travelled with family

    Completely frustrated and disappointed with the morning service, no rep to guide us. Was told to be ready and waiting for 7.30, hotel advised Tui rep would advise them of how many people would need breakfast and also provide snacks safe to say us and our 2 children (8 and 2) was left starving until the boat served lunch! Paid good money for a service via Tui and we definitely did not receive that! Hotel does not serve breakfast until 7.30 and as we were required to get on the coach we couldn’t!

This tour is a great way to get to know the best of Bulgarian culture and heritage. With a visit to ancient Byala, a riverboat trip and an afternoon of folklore and fun with the grannies of Solnik village, you'll experience a lot during your day out. Ivan, one of our expert local guides, says, ‘Solnik is a typical mountain village, but Granny Radka's house is anything but typical – it's like a mini-museum. She has displays of traditional costumes and textiles all over the walls, most of which were made by Granny Radka herself.'Kick off in the seaside town of Byala, on Cape St Atanas. Discover its rich history dating back to the Byzantine era as you walk through the area. You'll see ancient pottery making equipment, a partially restored winery and the basilica. Soaking up the expansive sea view from the top of the cliffs is all part of the Byala experience. Next, we will head to Kamchiya for a 25-minute boat trip along the river to enjoy the beauty of the Bulgarian countryside.Your final stop will be at the quaint village of Solnik, where we'll visit Granny Radka's house. You'll be invited to take a look at the display of typical clothes, try some local rose liqueur and tuck into a tasty lunch of dishes from the region, freshly prepared with locally sourced ingredients. Then you'll be immersed in Bulgarian folklore when you watch a song and dance performance by the village elders dressed in the traditional costume.
