What to expect

Looming large over Makarska, the Biokovo mountain range is a sight to behold – and explore. You'll venture into Biokovo Nature Park on this full-day 4x4 tour, which brings you close to nature without the need for hiking long distances. You'll journey to the skywalk to step out onto the glass walkway to experience the sweeping views.

Buckle up and enjoy a scenic journey in an electric Land Rover Defender up above the Adriatic coast into the Biokovo mountain range. Along the way, your adventure will reach new heights with a visit to the awe-inspiring Skywalk, situated at 1228 metres above sea level. Step onto the curved structure with glass walkway and prepare for dazzling views of the Makarska Riviera, and several islands.

The beauty of travelling by 4x4 is that you can conquer the longest and highest asphalt road in Croatia with ease, it's a panoramic ride with the Biokovo mountain range as a backdrop.     The guide was absolutely fantastic and very informative. Went above and beyond. The experience itself could have been better. When we got there the Skywalk was damaged, one area cracked, and apparently has been for quite a while. Needs some money spent to improve and make value for money.

    Loved everything about it. Our guide was fantastic,he was a chatty chap & played his music all the time which was good. He also talked my husband through his fear about the skywalk & my hubby managed to walk on which i never thought he would. He also provided some lovely homemade drinks & snacks.

    Absolute thrilling morning going up and up and up.Driver was so good on the small mountain road and the scenery was super. Highlights were the skywalk ,the walk beside the skywalk and the meeting with the horses, plus a lovely drink stop . All in all delightful.

Within an hour and a half of Split, it's a mosaic of waterways, marshes and lagoons that you can peacefully meander along as you switch your holiday to a slower pace for the day.You'll arrive in the morning at Villa Neretva, where you'll board a trupica – a traditional Croatian riverboat – and take to the waterways of the Neretva River. The river's wetlands sprawl across Bosnia and Herzegovina, with a relatively small stretch flowing through Croatia before it pours out into the Adriatic Sea. In this protected conservation area, you'll glide through the clear water, with a good chance of spotting herons, egrets and pygmy cormorants. There are over 300 species of birds here among the other wildlife, so keep an eye out for some more unusual finds, like colourful kingfishers, black and yellow fire salamanders and vibrant Balkan green lizards.Past Lake Kuti, you'll stop for lunch at Neretva House Tavern, which can only be reached by boat, for a feast of traditional Dalmatian dishes.
