What to expect

Side is a must-see. And what makes it so appealing is that its archaeological relics are scattered around its compact old town. This half-day excursion takes you to this history-drenched headland, where you'll even get to visit a textiles centre and a jewellery or leather centre.

After pick-up, we'll drop into a jewellery or leather centre for a browse. Here, you'll be greeted by eager staff ready to show off their gleaming collections. Don't miss out on exploring – gold and leather are especially good finds in Turkey, thanks to prices much friendlier than Europe. And remember, haggling isn't just accepted; it's expected, so flex those negotiation skills for the best deals. We'll also pop by a textile centre for a chance to grab some bargains on the latest fashion trends.

Next, head to Side old town for a guided walk. Look out for the Temple of Apollo. Possibly one of the most romantic spots on the Mediterranean coast, it's said that Antony and Cleopatra held love trysts under the temple's shining white columns. Apart from ancient ruins, the picturesque narrow lanes of this once-quiet fishing village are a hive of activity and ideal for a spot of souvenir hunting. You'll have free time to explore on your own – check out the museum in a restored bathhouse, if you want to find out more about Side's fascinating past.

Side jest ładnym miasteczkiem. Przewodnik ciekawie opowiadał o zabytkach, natomiast sklepy to była strata czasu. Myśleliśmy że spędzimy tam maksymalnie 15-20 minut a trzeba było po godzinie… gdyby nie to to wycieczka była bardzo ciekawa

Wycieczka zaczęła sie o godzinie 9 szkoda ze w side na zwiedzaniu byliśmy dopiero o godzinie 12 wcześniejszą wizyta w sklepie z kurtkami ze skóry bardzo nie ciekawa brak możliwości swobodnego obejrzenia ciagle nagadywanie i Pan z obsługi który chodzi krok w krok.

Zupełnie niepotrzebne były postoje w miejscach handlowych.Spędzony tam czas można było przeznaczyć na Side. To miasteczko zachwyca pod każdym względem. Udało się zwiedzić stare miasto, zbyt mało czasu by zobaczyć więcej a miejsce urokliwe.

Nie podobała mi się wizyta w salonie ze skórami strata czasu a zakupy w dikmanie moznaby zamienić na zakupy w samym Side dużo ciekawiej , milej i taniej. Zabrakło mi trochę faktów i historii samych świątyń oraz kościoła . Poczęstunek sokiem w porcie jest super pomysłem .

Alanya Shopping Tour

A great way to make your holiday more memorable is to visit a different resort for the day. A tale of two cities, Alanya is a true mix of the old and the new. It's a bustling resort that's home to a medieval castle and picturesque old town, where you'll have free time to explore. Filled with stalagmites and stalactites, the cylindrical chamber within is said to cure asthma – that's not a cue to leave your inhaler at home, though. Next up is Seljuk Castle. Topping a headland jutting into the Mediterranean, it was built in the 13th century on the remnants of Roman and Byzantine castles. Private boat tour to Kekova’s sunken city and Myra ruins

The rock-cut friezes carved with theatrical masks and the stacked tombs hewn into the cliffs are a unique sight. It still takes my breath away that parts of this site are thought to be around 2,500 years old.'Proceedings get under way with a scenic drive with a comfort stop at the Sahin Hill in Kumluca. Next, sail to Kekova island, a protected area famed for its underwater ruins. These are the relics of the ancient town of Simena, partially submerged by an earthquake in the 2nd century. There's time for a swim in the warmer months – the water is clear and inviting – it would be difficult to resist a dip in the sea. But if the weather doesn't permit a boat trip, there's a visit to the fascinating Demre museum instead.After a tasty lunch of typical dishes freshly prepared in a local restaurant, it's time to visit the Church of St Nicholas, who's better known today as Santa Claus. Finally, you'll have time to tour the site of the ancient city of Myra to explore the well-preserved amphitheatre and see the intricately carved rock tombs, high in the cliff face.

Pamukkale, Hierapolis and Lake Salda private tour

Heading deep into the Anatolian countryside, you'll also visit ancient Hierapolis, Lake Salda. As with all our tours, we use expert local guides who know the area inside out. Muzaffer, one of the guides, says, ‘I've got a lot of interesting things to tell on this tour that you won't hear anywhere else.'Leaving Antalya early in the morning, you'll arrive at Lake Salda Lake after a few hours' scenic drive. It's been compared to the Maldives for its long white beaches and multi-toned blue waters. You'll have free time to take some photos of this otherworldly spot. And this is just a taster for what's to come in the afternoon.Next, we'll head to Pamukkale for lunch. After your meal, admire of the bright white calcite terraces – they look like icy stalactites dripping from pools of sky-blue water. At the top of these travertines is Hierapolis, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Walk through the Byzantine Gate and marvel at the ruins as you stroll towards the vast bowl-shaped theatre. It's an epic scene. Dinner in a forest restaurant on the way back is included.
