Kick start your adventure across the Red Sea Mountains â with a quick breakfast stop â to delve into the first sight of the day, Karnak Temple. This impressive archaeological site is an open book of Ancient Egyptian history full to the brim with sphinxes, pylons and intricate hieroglyphs. Look out for the two obelisks, âthey represent the sun god, Ra, and are normally placed at the entrances of templesâ, adds Esi. After lunch, youâll whizz across the Nile by motorboat to the Valley of the Kings â the royal burial ground for pharaohs.
This UNESCO site is home to 63 tombs, including the tomb of Tutankhamun â and youâll get to choose three to step dive into. Built into desert landscapes, these tombs provide the perfect backdrop for those Insta-worthy pics. Next up, youâll travel through history to visit the Mortuary Temple of Hatshepsut, Mortuary Temple of Ramesses III at Medinet Habu and the Colossi of Memnon statues.
