It was really over busy in some places such as the ancient temple. We didn’t have much time to look around and had to queue to get into the monuments to view them and then it was a quick photo and then had to leave. There was no time to read the information boards. Lunch was fine but again felt rushed and we ran out of time for any dessert. Overall it was a good day and we saw good things but I think we would have been better doing it under our own steam.
Malta's sister island is just a short boat trip away. You'll set off by ferry and explore Gozo's natural beauty spots with this full day excursion. Visit Dwejra Bay and historic sites such as the Citadel and Ggantija Temples.
Arriving at Gozo in just 25 minutes, we'll disembark and head straight for the Ggantija Temples – a UNESCO World Heritage Site older than the pyramids of Egypt. You'll then visit the Citadel of Victoria, where 360° panoramic views show off the island's landscape. Next up is lunch.
In the afternoon, we'll visit the fjord-like bay of Xlendi as well as Dwejra Bay to see Fungus Rock and the nearby Inland Sea. You can't fail to be impressed by the island's lush countryside, its serene atmosphere and how different it is from the larger island of Malta.
