Enjoy a 4x4 tour along the astonishing Southeast Coast of Madeira and discover remote places such as Morena and Santo da Serra. All this combined with a light and easy Levada walk. The excursion ends at Machico, the place where the Portuguese landed for the very first time.
After pickup at your hotel, you'll start your tour with the Levada Vale Paraíso (45 minutes) which is a pleasant walk along the Levada da Serra do Faial and is over one hundred years old. You'll begin the walk at Vale do Paraíso and finish at Rochão. Along the way, you'll see cultivated terraces, gardens, and views over the village of Camacha.
Continue your 4x4 tour to Machico, where Gonçalves Zarco and Tristão Vaz Teixeira disembarked in 1419 when they discovered Madeira. Legend tells that already a century before this discovery, Robert Machim and Anna d'Arfet had found refuge here. At the end of the day, you'll be dropped off at your hotel in Funchal.
