What to expect

Discover the most diverse living plant collection in the world with a visit to Kew Gardens. Whether or not it's your first time or you're a regular visitor, there will always be something new to see. You can join a free walking tour or visit the tropical rainforest climate in the Palm House, home to the noteworthy Madagascan "suicide palm." Walk above the forest on the Treetop Walkway, elevating you 18 meters into the air.

After exploring the outdoors, take a look at the two on-site art galleries - the Marianne North Gallery with art from around the world and the Shirley Sherwood Gallery of botanical art. With something unique for everyone to discover, make sure to visit Kew Gardens on your next trip to London!

  • Opening hours: 5 January to 31 January 2026 daily from 10 am to 4 pm (last entry 3 pm); 1 February to 28 February 2026 daily from 10 am to 5 pm (last entry 4 pm); 1 March to 31 March 2026 daily from 10 am to 6 pm (last entry 5 pm)
  • Kew Gardens has variable closing times throughout the year, and attractions within the Gardens can be subject to periodic closure for maintenance. It is recommended to check the exact closures on Kew Gardens website before your visit
  • Glasshouses and galleries close one hour before closure
  • Infants get free admission but require a ticket, please select their free ticket at checkout
  • Essential carers get free admission and do not require a ticket
