As the party season gets in full flow, head to the river for the best views of the capital in all its winter sparkle. Your two-course festive dinner cruise casts off from Butler’s Wharf, beneath the iconic Tower Bridge, and what follows is a roll call of London’s most famous landmarks appearing right outside your window. James, a local guide, adds, “Cruising the Thames as evening falls brings the city into a whole new light. As you tuck into dinner, sights like Big Ben and the London Eye drift by, seeming even more impressive as their festive illuminations reflect on the water.”
As soon as you step aboard, the seasonal decorations set the tone for the evening, welcoming you into the warm and relaxing lower deck. Live music adds to the atmosphere, with the band playing plenty of festive hits. You’ll be served a two-course dinner over your two-and-a-half-hour cruise. The main course is inspired by British favourites with a winter twist, plus there’s a dessert that puts the cherry on top of a memorable evening out in London.
Taking in the sights with an elegant dinner hits the right note whether you’re catching up with family and friends, trying to impress on date night or simply celebrating the season. James adds, “The twinkling lights add an extra sparkle to London’s winter skyline, so relax and watch the views that have shaped London over the centuries.”
