This combo two-for-one half-day tour combines a trip to Timanfaya National Park with a local wine tasting in La Geria.
Peer inside a real volcano and get an up-close look at nearly all of the island's 300 volcanic craters. Depart from Costa Teguise, Arrecife, Puerto del Carmen, Puerto Calero and Playa Blanca to the south of the island, and pass through the town of Uga. You'll continue towards the Montañas del Fuego to visit the Timanfaya National Park, where you can watch geothermal demonstrations on the Hilario islet. Next, you'll take the "Route of the Volcanoes", learning all about the history of the eruptions that have occurred in Lanzarote in the past and have a stop at the gulf.
After that, you'll see the most important wine area in Lanzarote, La Geria. It's a unique example of how the local farmers have taken advantage of and adapted to a unique terrain in the world. There you'll stop at a typical winery and have a tasting experience, before returning to the collection points.
