Guided tourAlthough the staff were excellent and the boat was good, we didn't see any wildlife whilst on the experience. I am aware they they cannot control the animals and it is not always certain that we will see anything, but there was no offer of a second trip for a discounted price or money back from this trip. For it to be called a whales and dolphin cruise and to not see anything, it was quite disappointing.

Set sail from the marina in Funchal, where you will board the yacht. Search for dolphins, whales, and sea turtles up to 3 miles from the coast. With some luck, you will see lots of native wildlife in their natural environment!
As you keep an eye out for local wildlife, take a dip in the water Cabo Girão and use the snorkel provided, or relax with a drink in your hand before your sailboat docks back at the Funchal Marina.
