Drinks and beveragesThis was broken up into 2 separate tours am and pm. The guide for the morning dropped us off at the restaurant for lunch and left us. We were informed that we had to make our own way back to the tour office for the pm trip pick up. The tour guide for the afternoon was awful and lacked any communication skills and it was an 90minute trip for a 10 minute tour by ourselves, guide didn’t come with us. Very disappointed
The Athens full-day tour will start with a photo stop at Panathinaiko Stadium, where the first Olympic Games took place in 1896, pass by Zappeion and the Temple of Olympian Zeus. You will then drive past the Athens Trilogy – the University of Athens, the Academy of Athens, and the National Library. Your trip will continue passing by National Garden, Hadrian’s Arc, St. Paul’s Church, Parliament, Tomb of the Unknown soldier, Schliemann’s House (Numismatic Museum), Catholic Cathedral, Old Parliament, Constitution Square, Russian Orthodox Church, and finally the Acropolis.
Discover the Acropolis museum and took a short walk passing by Herodion and Dionysos Theater. After a morning full tour, your experience will continue in a local restaurant (Tripadvisor awarded) under the slopes of Acropolis.
After lunch you will depart for a wonderful drive along the scenic coastal road, which affords a splendid view of the Saronic Gulf, passing through some of Athens most beautiful suburbs (Glyfada, Vouliagmeni, Varkiza) to finally reach Cape Sounion. The Cape's Temple of Poseidon is perched on a rocky hilltop overlooking the sea. The view across the Aegean is magnificent with one of the most breath-taking panoramic views in the world, extending all the way to Kea and the Peloponnese on a clear day.
