The sand buggy is the alternative for couples and families to kick off on a true adventure as you bounce across the Sinai desert on your own sand buggy. As you have fun on the sand buggy with your partner or kids you will enjoy the best views of the desert. After a short practice session to get used to the sand buggy, you will be taken on a guided adventure across the desert, during which you will also have plenty of time to stop and take photographs. During the activity, you will stop off for a complimentary Egyptian tea at an authentic Bedouin tent and get to know the culture of the desert.

Tour with transfer: pickup from your hotel in Sharm El-Sheikh. Please indicate your pickup location at checkout. Tour without transfer: meet at Travco Quad Center inside the Safari area, located at Ring Rd, Qesm Sharm Ash Sheikh, South Sinai Governorate 8760326, Egypt.
What to remember

Extra fees to be paid on-site:

  • Goggles and scarves are not included, but they are available at the quad-center for 3 euros per piece

  • Driving experience is needed
  • The buggy ride is available in different options, whereas the" buggy tour" is for single use, the rest of the options are double, triple and quadruple use. Children need to be accompanied by an adult on one buggy
  • In case the participants are pregnant, please consult the doctor first if it's safe to participate in this activity
  • Tour duration and pickup time are subject to change due to operating conditions and hotel location

Remember to bring:

  • A hat, sunglasses, sunscreen, scarf, camera, and money for tipping
  • It's recommended to wear comfortable clothes with long trousers and shoes

    The buggy were a little slow and were a little worn but this is understandable, other then that everything was great. We had a lovely evening the tea was amazing and the experience in all was wonderful!

    We were told the day before the excursion that pick up would be at 08:30 - they did not arrive at our hotel until 09:25. The pick up was 1.5 hours late for the other guests, who were told by their TUI rep, that it was our fault the driver was late. Blatantly lying and extremely unprofessional.
