Why you’ll love this…

Take the chance to listen to music resounding from the Cathedral's galleries that normally are closed to public
Experience the echoes of a musical highlight in the Cathedral's history
Enjoy organ music, choral singing, a dulcimer ensemble, and instrumental sounds.

What to expect

“In truth, one might have believed oneself to be in heaven, yes, among the heavenly choirs.” – This is how an eyewitness described the solemn consecration of the cathedral almost 400 years ago.

This experience is brought back to life in the concert series “Heavenly Sounds – musica coelestis,” when Advent music from galleries, balconies, and the dome fills the cathedral with a special atmosphere and, for a few moments, makes it possible to feel how heaven and earth meet.

Saturday, 5 December: Euphonia Ensemble, Salzburg Tower Brass Musical Director: Vinzenz Doering

Saturday, 12 December: Nonnberg Abbey Vocal Ensemble, Salzburg Tower Brass Musical Director: Barbara Schmelz

Saturday, 19 December: SalCanto Vocal Ensemble, Salzburg Tower Brass Musical Director: Gerrit Stadlbauer
