The Sal coastline is a perfect backdrop for a cruise – and this adults-only catamaran trip makes the very best use of it. Sailing leisurely through the azure seas between Palmeira and Monte Leão, you'll sunbathe, sip on cocktails and enjoy a stop for swimming too. Your day of relaxation kicks off with pick-up from your hotel and transfer to Palmeira, where you'll hop aboard a brand-new catamaran. Setting sail, you'll soon be watching the coastline glide by as your captain cruises along the island's west coast. All you need to do is pick the perfect spot to sit back and soak up some rays – and choose which drink you'd like first. The friendly and knowledgeable crew will be on hand to ensure your comfort and safety throughout the journey.

Sounds like ultimate relaxation, right? On board, you'll be spoilt for choice with complimentary drinks and snacks, with local music to really get you in the holiday mood. As we approach our idyllic location near Monte Leão, your skipper will anchor the boat, allowing you to take a swim in open waters. After we've dropped anchor, you can also lounge on the nets above the shimmering water – the ideal place to bask in the warm Cape Verde sun.

What is the itinerary for this experience?

This experience is available as a morning or afternoon tour, so the itinerary timings change depending on which one you pick.

Morning option:

- 8:35am to 9:15am – pick-up from your hotel

- 9:30am – arrival at Palmeira, where you'll take a dinghy to your boat

- 10:00am – board your Catamaran, SODADE, and set sail

- 11:30am to 12:15pm – scheduled swimming stop

- 12:30pm – sail back to the harbour

- 1:00pm – start the drive back to your hotel

- 12:35pm to 1:15pm – pick-up from your hotel

- 1:30pm – arrival at Palmeira, where you'll take a dinghy to your boat

    Great experience but boat full and would have been more enjoyable with more space. I would have paid more with a few less people.

    Maybe just the people on our group, but it turned into a drunken disco which isnt what we were expecting. Slightly chaotic when we stopped to swim, but the staff generally did their best.

    Excellent activity led by Alina and Cat Maurice with a great team. They were knowledgeable and professional but fun. Safety was a priority. Loved the pool off the back for less confident swimmers.

    The trip was good, the staff on the catamaran and the Tui rep were excellent. Full marks from r the wonderful, joyful dancing! Our only criticism was the length of the journey ti and from the port because she if the vast number of pick ups. Smaller, more direct transport would have been good.

    Whole afternoon was brilliant. The guide Elina was lovely and kept us informed from pick up to drop off. I'm not great with water but the guides helped us onto and off the boats so easily to get to the catamaran further out in the harbour. Once on board the catamaran the crew were great and created a proper party atmosphere, especially on the way back. Top marks......would highly recommend.
