KayakReally nice experience! Paddling in the clear kayak is super cool because you can see the ocean and the fish right under you, the water was so clean and the kayak offer great visibility. The team was very friendly and everything was easy and well organized. Pick up on time! The guide gave us a lot of nice information about marine life, what to expect and conservation efforts in Cape Verde! We were also super lucky and saw a sea turtle swimming below us, which was such a special moment.
The shallow reefs and rocky outcrops off the southern tip of Sal are an ideal playground for the local parrotfish, butterflyfish, rays and turtles – and you'll have a prime view from your clear kayak. You'll be matched with either a totally transparent kayak, or one with two large windows for unrestricted underwater watching. Both models seat two people, so you can share the paddle power for the hour's tour. Your guide will lead you at a gentle pace into the waters off Santa Maria Bay or Bikini Beach, where you'll drift directly above the action on the seabed, all while staying warm in the sunshine.
