Things to do in Palma Beach - El Arenal

If it’s time on the sand in Majorca you’re after, Palma Beach deserves some attention. Nestled just south of the island’s capital city, Palma, and about 700 metres from Palma de Mallorca Airport, this massive sweep of sand – which stretches out for around 4.5 kilometres – has everything you want and need for that classic Balearic Island beach break. We’re talking shallow water that’s ideal for little ones to splash in, lots of sandcastle-building territory and a bunch of sea-view bars and restaurants within reach. Plus, Palma Beach has bagged Blue Flag status, so you know the whole place is in good nick.

“Amazing day! We booked the gold option. The Snorkelling with Rays was fantastic. Cinema was amazing and we thoroughly enjoyed the backstage tour, was amazing to see what goes on behind the scenes. Only negative was once we had all our bookings for the day it didn’t give us a lot of time to explore. Our bus was late in the morning for collection and then again was 30 mins late at end of day but our guide was very apologetic and handled it well. Overall definitely recommend trip we had a fab day”

“A really brilliant day out that exceeded my expectations! The TUI guide was brilliant and informative about what we could expect at the aquarium, and bumping up to the Silver ticket option was definitely worth it for the quality of food provided by the aquarium, time in the 3D cinema, and receiving a gift and discount voucher in the shop. The aquarium itself is brilliantly laid out and informative, as well as being as ethical as possible with the animals, many of which are being rehabilitated.”
