Kusadasi in Turkey is today a popular tourist package destination for Northern Europeans. The name comes from "kuş" (bird) and "ada" (island) as the peninsula has the shape of a bird's head and it is a city that was founded 3 thousand years ago by the Leleges people.Today it caters well to vacationing tourists and visitors and is a popular port for luxury cruise ships.
