Heraklion airport VIP service and lounge

After transfers we had all of fifteen minutes in the VIP lounge

Very poor range of food for price we paid

we arrived at the airport departure area by private transfer & we asked a lady in a TUI outfit where do we go for the VIP services & she knew nothing about it, it’s not sign posted at the first security check point. Once through the security checkpoint again it’s not sign posted very well. Once in the lounge the food was awful, everything had cheese in it, which we don’t eat. My understanding of the vip service was we had a separate lane at passport control, This didn’t happen. Not worth €59

The VIP service was extremely bad at the airport. I paid £100 per couple for this service, the transfer to the airport took so long our time was limited in the lounge. The staff took ages to take us to the lounge, the only good part was that we didn’t have to queue when showing our boarding passes. When we finally got to the lounge the food was dire, no choice for myself being a vegetarian, nothing was labelled so I was unable to see what I could or couldn’t eat. I ended up eating a Kit Kat.

After repeatedly being told to purchase the Lounge and getting reminders, I paid for our family and when we finally got through slow security etc, we found out it was closed -‘

It was not a high specification lounge. No hot food, mainly package type food. Compared to Heathrow or Gatwick it was extremely disappointing given the cost.
