What to expect

Travel from Montenegro’s Adriatic coast to its peaceful mountain landscapes on a full-day guided group tour that combines nature, culture and scenic viewpoints.

The journey begins in Kotor with a panoramic coastal drive and photo stops near Sveti Stefan and Paštrovačke Strane, before continuing to Virpazar, the gateway to Lake Skadar. After a breakfast break at your own expense, board a boat for a scenic cruise across Lake Skadar, with seasonal birdwatching and the possibility of swimming during the warmer months.

The route then continues towards Biogradska Gora National Park, where you will have free time to enjoy Lake Biograd and a lunch break at your own expense in a mountain setting. On the return journey, pass through the dramatic Morača Canyon and visit the historic Morača Monastery before returning to Kotor.

Meeting point:

The meeting point is in Kotor's Old Town, number 284 (Stari Grad 284, Kotor). It is essential to arrive at least 15 minutes before the tour starts. Please ensure you allow enough time to reach the old town and find the meeting point. The tour departs promptly at 07:00am from Kotor.

Know in advance:

Birdwatching depends on the season. Swimming in Lake Skadar is possible during warmer months, depending on weather, water temperature and local conditions
There is no mandatory entrance fee for Morača Monastery. Guests may leave a voluntary donation of approximately €3 per person at the monastery if they wish
The order and timing of stops may vary depending on traffic, weather and operational conditions. Traffic delays may occur on the return journey, especially during the summer season

Remember to bring:

Water, sunscreen, comfortable walking shoes, weather-appropriate clothing, warmer layers for mountain areas, a camera, cash for entrance fees, food, drinks, optional activities, tips and personal expenses, as well as swimwear and a towel if you wish to swim in Lake Skadar, depending on weather and water temperature
