On 12 August, the tour gets an astronomical twist, with a partial solar eclipse visible from El Cotillo's rugged coastline.Heading off-road through the Bayuyo volcanic area, you'll pass lava fields and crater scenery shaped by the island's fiery past, with a photo stop along the way and the chance to spot the friendly local chipmunks. From there, the route winds towards Majanicho, where whitewashed houses sit quietly beside the sea. At Punta de Jandia lighthouse, you'll settle in to watch the eclipse merge with the sunset, casting softer light across the coastline.
