The Scotch Whisky Experience is located beside Edinburgh Castle, at the top of Edinburgh's famous Royal Mile. It's a 20-minute walk from Haymarket and Waverley railway stations and St. Andrew's Square bus station; open-top bus tours and Lothian buses stop close by.
What to remember

Know in advance:

  • Guests must be at least 18 years old in order to participate in this experience
  • Please note that the tutored whisky tasting is hosted by an English-speaking guide
  • Audio guides are available in English, Dutch, French, German, Italian, Portuguese, Spanish, Brazilian Portuguese, Mandarin, Cantonese, Hindi, Japanese, Korean, Polish, Russian, Swedish, Czech, Gaelic, British Sign Language and American Sign Language. There is also International Sign option offered
  • The Gold Tour includes an introductory tasting of five regional Scotch whiskies, and one year membership of the Scotch Whisky Appreciation Society. It also includes the gift of a crystal whisky tasting glass as a souvenir
