Into the Wild 4x4 Tour

Charming villages, cultural traditions and beautiful Balkan scenery are what this tour is all about. In a powerful 4x4, you'll zoom along roads, tracks and trails of the countryside to discover real, rural and authentic Bulgaria. There's a typical lunch included, and a tasting of distinctive local Manov honey.The action begins in the scenic surrounds of Strandja Nature Park – Bulgaria's largest protected area. Here, we'll hike for around 45 minutes through the pristine forest, home to a rich variety of rare plants, birds and wildlife. Next, we'll head up to the Foundryka Cave, famous for its underground lake.After a typical lunch in Mladezhko village, we'll make our way to the open-air ethnographic museum for a tasting of locally made honey. Heading back to base, there's a final stop at a waterfall for some time to relax.

Lazy Day Cruise from Nessebar

Set sail for a day of sun, sea and family fun with this Bulgarian Black Sea cruise. Casting off from Nessebar, you'll enjoy a morning of seafront scenery, swimming and sunbathing aplenty. With lunch and drinks included, too, this one is sure to get the holiday vibes flowing.Welcomed aboard by the crew, you'll cast off with ancient Nessebar in the distance. Dimitar, one of our expert local guides, says, 'You'll visit Kozichino village, the perfect place to experience the authentic Bulgarian rural way of life. Kozichino is renowned for its efforts to preserve old crafts, customs, and the traditional Bulgarian architecture of the region.'As you rumble through the Bulgarian landscapes, there will be a number of stops. Imagine the excitement as kids turn into treasure hunters in an ancient oak forest, guided by GPS, while adults test their aim with bow and air rifle. The journey takes a scenic turn at 'Tabite,' offering a panoramic view that screams photo op. Come lunchtime, we'll swing by the timeless village of Kozichino for a cultural feast at an ethnographic complex.Here, in a vibrant courtyard, get a slice of village life, explore a museum packed with local treasures, and snap photos in traditional attire. The owner whips up his signature bio lemonade, served alongside a hearty meal of cabbage salad, grilled kebabs, and homemade bread, with a beer and lemonade included. But wait, there's more - the 'Safari' orchestra sets the soundtrack to your meal, followed by an off-road adventure to Gyulovtsa, where a brandy tasting awaits.

Off-road Safari to Poroy

For an adventure into the Balkan mountains surrounding Sunny Beach, look no further than this extreme off-road excursion in the countryside. After a quick safety briefing, you'll set off in a 4x4. We'll drive along off-road tracks through rivers, villages and panoramic viewpoints before a pause in the action for a refreshing drink and a few fun games – there's even a prize for the winner. Following a route along picturesque mountain roads to a mineral spring, we'll rumble all the way to the village of Poroy. Here you'll stop for a well-earned lunch of traditional Bulgarian dishes and roasted bacon before returning to your hotel.

Old Nessebar Catamaran Sunset Cruise

Nothing shouts romance from the rooftops quite like a sunset sail. And this adults-only catamaran cruise around Old Nessebar ticks all the boxes. Step onboard and as you drift into dusk, you'll be treated to an open bar and great views. Then, we'll drop anchor just in time for a dazzling sunset – toasting the night in with a glass or two of sparkling wine and fresh snacks.

Veleka Valley Boat Tour

The Veleka valley is one of Bulgaria's true hidden gems. On this motorboat cruise along the river Veleka, you'll discover landscapes barely changed by humans. From wooded banks to golden natural beaches and endemic fauna, this is the great outdoors as Mother Nature intended it. The fun kicks off as you hop onboard a motorboat and set sail on the Veleka towards the Black Sea. With an array of scenery to soak in along the way, and maybe even an encounter with amphibious animals such as turtles and small lizards, this unspoiled river is the perfect place to relax surrounded by nature.The dense woodlands give way to the stunning beach of Sinemorets – one of the most beautiful in Bulgaria. It is formed from an 800-metre-long sandbar at the river's mouth, with cliffs either side. This coastal wilderness is hard to come by in this day and age – so make sure you have your cameras at the ready.

Bulgaria's Black Sea coast is a treasure trove of ancient towns, historic cities and natural scenery. With so many places to see, this trip to Sozopol by fast ferry is just the ticket. Departing from Nessebar, the ferry whisks you to explore ancient Sozopol. It's an early start as we head by bus to the harbour at Nessebar to board the ferry. After an hour's cruise on the high-speed passenger catamaran Seacat One you'll be docking in Sozopol. On the ferry there is a bar serving coffee, tea, soft drinks and beer, at your own expense.Arriving in Sozopol, you'll have time for a guided tour and a tasting of regional Bulgarian wines, before heading for an optional lunch at a local restaurant. After, make the most of the free time to explore at your own pace. Return from Sozopol to Nessebar by fast ferry in the late afternoon.
