Here, we'll hike for around 45 minutes through the pristine forest, home to a rich variety of rare plants, birds and wildlife. Next, we'll head up to the Foundryka Cave, famous for its underground lake.After a typical lunch in Mladezhko village, we'll make our way to Brashljan hamlet for a folklore show performed by women of the village, and a visit to the open-air ethnographic museum and a tasting of locally made honey. Heading back to base, there's a final stop at a waterfall for some time to relax.

The journey takes a scenic turn at 'Tabite,' offering a panoramic view that screams photo op. Come lunchtime, we'll swing by the timeless village of Kozichino for a cultural feast at an ethnographic complex.Here, in a vibrant courtyard, get a slice of village life, explore a museum packed with local treasures, and snap photos in traditional attire. Following a route along picturesque mountain roads to a mineral spring, we'll rumble all the way to the village of Poroy. Here you'll stop for a well-earned lunch of traditional Bulgarian dishes and roasted bacon before returning to your hotel.

The Veleka valley is one of Bulgaria's true hidden gems. On this motorboat cruise along the river Veleka, you'll discover landscapes barely changed by humans. From wooded banks to golden natural beaches and endemic fauna, this is the great outdoors as Mother Nature intended it. The fun kicks off as you hop onboard a motorboat and set sail on the Veleka towards the Black Sea. With an array of scenery to soak in along the way, and maybe even an encounter with amphibious animals such as turtles and small lizards, this unspoiled river is the perfect place to relax surrounded by nature.The dense woodlands give way to the stunning beach of Sinemorets – one of the most beautiful in Bulgaria. It is formed from an 800-metre-long sandbar at the river's mouth, with cliffs either side. Stop for a snifter of brandy at a distillery and find out how the famous 'rakia' is made before tasting some local honey and seeing a snapshot of local life and traditions in a typical home.Rumbling on along scenic roads, tracks and paths you'll arrive at Forest Lodge for a typical lunch in a rural setting. Once lunch is settled, try your hand at the Lodge's activities - fishing, baking or paintball - before it's time to see what the star of Soviet car production can do as you speed back to base.

Bulgaria's Black Sea coast is a treasure trove of ancient towns, historic cities and natural scenery. With so many places to see, this trip to Sozopol by fast ferry is just the ticket. Departing from Nessebar, the ferry whisks you to explore ancient Sozopol. It's an early start as we head by bus to the harbour at Nessebar to board the ferry. After an hour's cruise on the high-speed passenger catamaran Seacat One you'll be docking in Sozopol. On the ferry there is a bar serving coffee, tea, soft drinks and beer, at your own expense.Arriving in Sozopol, you'll have time for a guided tour, a visit to the Southern Fortress Wall and Tower Complex and a tasting of regional Bulgarian wines, before heading for an optional lunch at a local restaurant. After, make the most of the free time to explore at your own pace. Return from Sozopol to Nessebar by fast ferry in the late afternoon.
