This quintessential Provençal village is crowned by a 12th-century church encircled by age-old cedars, offering a magnificent view of Luberon. Next, visit the village of Roussillon, perched high atop the cliff of an ancient ochre quarry. Evoking a painter's palette, Rousillon is a magical place where combinations of oxides create an endless variety of orange, brown, and red hues in both the landscapes and houses.
Your final stop of the afternoon is Gordes, a remarkable village erected on a cliff. The fortified castle and church tower over the typical houses of the village, which were constructed using stones from the rock upon which they stand.
