Prêt à explorer Épidaure et Mycènes lors de cette excursion d'une journée au départ d'Athènes ? Commencez votre excursion par la route nationale côtière et faites une courte halte pour admirer le célèbre canal de Corinthe. Vous entrerez ensuite dans la Mycène d'Or d'Homère, classée au patrimoine mondial de l'UNESCO. Datant du IIe siècle avant J.-C., Mycènes était l'un des principaux centres de la civilisation grecque et une place forte militaire qui dominait une grande partie du sud de la Grèce. Vous découvrirez les remparts cyclopéens, la Porte des Lions, les Tombeaux royaux et le Trésor d'Atrée, une magnifique structure du XIVe siècle avant J.-C.

Vous poursuivrez votre route par une halte à Nauplie, première capitale de la Grèce moderne et abritant la forteresse de Palamède. Profitez d'une visite guidée à pied au cœur de la vieille ville, puis flânez tranquillement dans ses ruelles pittoresques. Vous pourrez y déguster un déjeuner traditionnel dans une taverne locale (si vous le souhaitez) ou un café relaxant avec vue sur la mer.

Après Nauplie, la dernière étape de la visite est le théâtre d'Épidaure (entrée non incluse), considéré comme le mieux préservé de la Grèce antique et toujours utilisé aujourd'hui grâce à son acoustique exceptionnelle. Vous aurez l'occasion de visiter le site et d'en apprendre davantage sur son histoire avec votre guide.
