Beschreibung

Entdecken Sie Ihren inneren Cowboy auf Menorcas malerischen Küstenwegen. Die Route umfasst zudem einen Abschnitt des Camí de Cavalls, einem Netz aus jahrhundertealten Pfaden, das die Insel entlang der Küste umrundet. Auch wenn Sie kein alter Hase im Umgang mit Pferden sind, ist dieses Erlebnis für alle Niveaus geeignet, vom Anfänger bis zum Experten. Viele der Wege sind die einzige Möglichkeit, einige der schönsten Orte Menorcas zu erreichen. Lynn, eine unserer erfahrenen lokalen Tourguides, sagt: „Eine Karte von Menorca aus dem Jahr 1780 ist die früheste, auf der der Camí de Cavalls verzeichnet ist, aber wahrscheinlich ist er noch älter. Er wurde ursprünglich angelegt, um die Insel vor Eindringlingen zu schützen.“

Nachdem Sie ein passendes Pferd gefunden haben, werden Sie auf einem einfachen, 2,5-stündigen Ausritt mit Picknickpause begleitet. Wir folgen einem Küstenweg, der zu einem abgelegenen Strand führt. Leute und Pferde top! Total nett und entspannt! Toll gekümmert, super nette Betreuung! Kann man nicht besser machen!!! Allerdings brauche ich keine 40 Minuten Aufenthalt am Meer. Reiten UND Baden finde ich keine gute Kombi. Es war auch niemand schwimmen. 15-20 Minuten stopp würde mir ausreichen. Lieber 15 Minuten länger reiten

Der Ausflug war toll. Leider ist der Bus zu früh abgefahren und wir mussten mit einem teuren Taxi hinterher gefahren werden. Als Zeit war 8.40 Uhr angegeben. Der Bus ging von 8.30 Uhr aus.

Es ist sehr ungünstig und auch gefährlich, wenn vor der Tour abgefragt wird, ob in der Gruppe erfahrene Reiter, Anfänger oder absolute Neulinge anwesend sind. In unserem Fall waren es bis auf ganz wenige Ausnahmen Neulinge. Für Neulinge die noch nie auf einem Pferd gesessen haben und dieses natürlich auch nicht lenken oder stoppen können, ist es gefährlich , wenn die Gangart des Pferdes mehrmals durch den Guide von Schritt in den Trab getrieben wird

Lloc de Menorca animal park with free time at Son Bou Beach

One of the best family days out in Menorca. First up, you'll visit Lloc de Menorca animal park, a sanctuary for species from all over the world. And then you'll enjoy downtime at the blue-flag Son Bou beach. Nicola, one of our guides on this tour, says, ‘Small children will love the animal splash park and indoor play areas. And you can get your holiday snaps with a variety of animals, including a snake.'Set in beautiful, flower-filled gardens, Lloc de Menorca is home to all sorts of farm animals and exotic creatures. The welfare of the animals is the utmost priority. Nicola says, ‘Rescued animals enjoy a new life, in what would be their own normal environments.' And Debbie, another of our guides, adds, ‘The Lloc is so much more than a zoo – it's a sanctuary to many abused animals from circuses, illegal trafficking and even overbreeding.'As you follow the paths around the ponds, you'll come face-to-face with playful monkeys, meet friendly dwarf goats and get up close to everything from kangaroos and giant tortoises to porcupines and peacocks. There's also a reptile house where you can have your picture taken with a snake. Spot lots of birds in the aviary, including cheeky parrots hiding in the leaves. To round off the day, we make the 15-minute journey to sun-kissed Son Bou – others take you to beaches further away. Boasting almost 3km of blond sand, it's the longest stretch of beach on Menorca. You'll have around an hour here to stretch out for a sunbathe, go for a swim or have a poke around the souvenir shops. And if you opt in for lunch, you'll sit down to a tasty meal in Restaurant Arena.

Nicola says, ‘Many areas of this coast are still wild and undeveloped. Keep your eyes peeled for interesting birds – there are 200 species found on Menorca. Perhaps you'll also catch sight of one of the caves used by smugglers to stash tobacco and coffee in times past.' This is a fantastic day out at sea enjoying Menorca's coastal scenery and chilling out on secluded beaches.
