Three Majorca musts share top billing on this tour. You'll stroll the stalls of a farmer's market, delve into the depths of the famous Drach Caves and visit the renowned Majorica pearl factory. Xisca, one of our local guides, says, ‘Before you even set foot inside, you call feel something truly spectacular lies ahead. The cave system is a world of secretive caverns and subterranean lakes brought to life by music and light shows.'

Your first stop will be the Majorica shop and museum, where possibly the finest imitation pearls in the world are made. See digital displays explaining the manufacturing process before browsing pearl jewellery in the shop. Xisca says, ‘The designs are creative and exquisitely crafted, which is why Majorica jewellery is such a popular birthday or Christmas gift on the island.'

It's then on to the weekly market in a country town. Poke around stalls stocked with everything from fragrant fruit and vegetables to aromatic herbs and pungent cheeses. The chance to try products such as Majorca's famous black pig pork is part of the experience. Spicy sobrassada, a spreadable paprika-cured sausage, makes for a great take-home souvenir – and helps local producers. Then, round off the day at Drach Caves. Get the lowdown from your guide on the formation of the system millions of years ago. There are four caves and a large lake, made all the more magical by the special lighting and a classical music concert from a quartet right in the very depths of the caves.

What is the itinerary for this experience?

- 8:30am to 9:30am – pick-up from your hotel

- 9:30am to 10:30am – drive to the local markets

- 10:30am to 11:30am – visit to the market

- 11:30am to 12:00pm – drive to Portocristo

- 12:00pm to around 3.30pm – free time, Pearl Factory visit and Caves visit (the order of these activities varies depending on the day)

- Around 3.30pm – set off back to accommodation

    In den Höhlen sollte man die Leute stossweise reinlassen.. Der Reiseleiter war etwas nervig mit seinen Witzen, die keiner verstand. Aber ansonsten ein netter Ausflug

    Der Marktbesuch war bei ca. 10 Ständen mit 1,5 Stunden viel zu lang. Bei Majorica waren es sogar nur 45 Minuten um dann mit dem Bus noch 5 Minuten zum Hafen zu fahren. Die Dauer der Mittagspause in Porto Cristo war okay. Eine absolute Schnellabfertigung war die Drachenhöhle. Man war im Schnellgang durchgeschleust und musste direkt zum Bus. Keine enspannte Tour. Auch hatten wir bei anderen Touren einen besseren Guide

    Die Reise wurde von euch storniert, aus betriebstechnischen Gründen. Das wars für uns. Dies noch dazu,sind einen Tag vorher noch erinnert worden,das wir nicht vergessen, und dann wurde spontan per Email abgesagt. Kann euch leider net weiterempfehlen, hab mich nur geärgert.lg

    Die Höhle an sich spektakulär. Zu viele Besucher gleichzeitig in der Drachenhöhle. Die Perlenmanufaktur fand ich persönlich uninteressant.

    Bit expensive compared to if you booked tickets yourself and booked a taxi. Tour guide was lovely though so worth supporting local members of the community. Still think €45-50 would be more reasonable
