Beschreibung

Die 11 km lange Levada-Wanderung "25 Brunnen" ist eine der beliebtesten Wanderungen auf Madeira und führt Sie durch magische Landschaften zu Wasserfällen, einem kleinen See und fließenden Quellen. Sie wandern von Paul da Serra ins Rabaçal-Tal, entlang der Levada zum Risco-Wasserfall und den 25 natürlichen Quellen.

Wir starten auf dem Gipfel der Hochebene Paul da Serra und steigen hinab in das üppig grüne Tal. Ihr Guide wird Sie auf Schritt und Tritt begleiten und auf die typische madeirische Flora und Fauna aufmerksam machen. Am Gästehaus Rabaçal angekommen, geht es durch das Tal zum Risco-Wasserfall.

Danach folgen Sie der Levada durch eine wunderschöne Landschaft bis zu einem kleinen See. Von hier sind die 25 natürlichen Quellen, die in den Hügeln sprudeln, nicht mehr weit. Genießen Sie bei einer kurzen Pause die besondere Atmosphäre, bevor Sie durch einen Abkürzungstunnel, der das Wasser in den Süden Madeiras leitet, zu den Fahrzeugen zurückkehren.

Guide Luisa hat uns durchgehetzt, kaum Zeit, mal rechts und links zu gucken oder mal ein Foto zu machen. Erzählt hat sie auch kaum was und gar nichts auf der Fahrt. Wirkte unmotiviert.

Eine sehr schöne Wanderung mit einer sehr freundlichen, rücksichtsvollen und lustigen Führerin. Sie gab viele Informationen während der Tour und beantwortete alle Fragen. Sehr empfehlenswert! Für die ca. 12km lange Strecke sollte man wasserfeste Schuhe, Trittsicherheit und Treppensteigen können. Eine Stirn- oder Taschenlampe ist für den Gang durch einen 800m langen Tunnel empfehlenswert. Der Bus holte die kleine Gruppe weiter unten wieder ab.

Madeira west coast tour with Cabo Girao and lunch in Porto Moniz

Madeira's magnificent scenery takes centre stage on this full day tour. The views from the skywalk are really something else, and its experience that'll stick with you." Then, you'll head to the coastal town of Riberia Brava, before a stroll through a banana plantation in Madalena do Mar.Next, we'll head up the 1,500m-high Paúl da Serra plateau before descending on Porto Moniz, famous for its natural lava rock swimming pools. A typical lunch freshly prepared with local produce awaits in the village. Rounding off the day is a poncha drink demonstration and tasting in Câmara de Lobos – a favourite holiday spot of Winston Churchill.
