Gran Canaria wird auch gerne als Miniaturkontinent bezeichnet. Und sobald Sie auf dieser privaten Tour ins Landesinnere fahren, werden Sie feststellen, warum. Wir beginnen mit einem Mittagessen in einem Höhlenrestaurant mit herrlicher Aussicht und fahren dann zum höchsten Dorf der Insel. Artenara liegt 1.200 m über dem Meeresspiegel auf einem Bergrücken, der von zerklüfteten Gipfeln umgeben ist."

Auf der Fahrt durch das Mogan-Tal in Richtung Norden schlängeln Sie sich durch Schluchten und Felsöffnungen bis ins Zentrum der Insel. Die Aussichten entlang des Weges sind so gut, dass Sie ab und zu einen Fotostopp einlegen. Das Mittagessen wird in einem familiengeführten "Höhlenrestaurant" im abgelegenen Weiler Bascamao serviert. Genießen Sie Gerichte aus lokalen Zutaten und den Blick auf die umliegende Landschaft und das Meer. Und obendrein leisten Sie mit diesem Besuch einen Beitrag zur lokalen Gemeinschaft und Wirtschaft.

Am Nachmittag fahren Sie nach Artenara, dem höchstgelegenen Ort der Insel. Erkunden Sie dieses kleine Dorf, das sich um eine weiß getünchte Kirche gruppiert, zu Fuß oder werfen Sie einen Blick in das berühmte Höhlenmuseum. Es geht weiter mit einem Stopp am Aussichtspunkt Presas, von wo aus Sie den Blick über die Berglandschaft und die Nordküste schweifen lassen können. Discription of tour was not correct. The lunch in a cave was not in a real cave but in a restaurant. The wine tasting was no tasting but one glas of wine. The winery had three wines so no no trouble for us to buy extra, but instead of one full glas rather three small glases. We did not like the wine included in the tour, but one of the of the other onces, which we bought.

Die Privat geführte Tour ist schon etwas besonderes und unser Tour Guide Peter, hat es absolut vorbildlich und toll gemacht. Ich kann es jedem empfehlen wenn man nicht In einem großen Bus mit vielen Touristen fahren möchte. Peter war sehr pünktlich und alle gewählten Ziele der Tour war sehr schön. Vor allem der Stop in einem kleinen Restaurant/ Café hat uns sehr gefallen… viele Grüße Sabrina und Thorsten

Excellent tour, especially if you have a small group that may need more space and relaxation, or if you want to do it at own pace rather than cattle on a coach trip. The people carrier also meant we could do more scenic roads. Steve from Sweden was our guide. Due to age in our group (some 80+) I asked at the start not to drive crazy, which he accomplished throughout. The route, views and food/drink were all excellent, as was Steve's commentary. Only change was no Mogan valley due to landslip.
