Next stop is the dam of Aposelemis, the largest water supply project in Crete. The village of Sfendili is submerged in the waters of the dam with its impressive old houses fading on the surface of the water. Continuing with the trip you will ascent on dirt roads until you reach the gorge of Embassa, with its Impressive mountains and wildlife nature with unique views. There you will have a unique opportunity to pick local herbs.Next it’s time for the cooking lesson by local professionals, where you will participate in the preparation of dishes using pure ingredients and local products.
The journey continues to the Lassithi Plateau. There you can visit a pottery workshop and unveil the secrets of ceramic art as well as participate in the course and create your own ceramics! After that it is time for a tour of the Plateau and enjoy the food that is prepared in a wood oven in one of the best traditional restaurants.
Descending, you will stop at the picturesque village of Krasi. Its square is dominated by the aqueduct of the 18th century and the imposing centuries-old plane trees and the oldest plane tree of Crete that is over 2000 years old! The adventure ends with a tour in an olive oil factory and learning how to extract olive oil with a small tasting following!
